PAT-HUB: A dynamic digital environment for educational pathological images

This project develops a specialised training platform for learning diagnostic cytology, incorporating an extensive database of real images, a search function, manual comparison tools and usage tracking. The platform will enable more comprehensive, up-to-date and accessible training within the healthcare sector, tailored to the needs of both professional and educational settings.

This training will improve cytological screening skills by reducing false negatives in the detection of lesions.

This project has been funded by the Basque Government under the call for proposals for innovation and entrepreneurship projects to be carried out during the 2025–2026 academic year in state-subsidised vocational training centres offering vocational training courses aligned with the strategy set out in the 6th Basque Vocational Training Plan.

This tool has been developed in collaboration with various healthcare organisations, including IMQ, OSI Basurto and Biobanco.
